Associated Press SAN DIEGO (AP) An unmanned NASA aircraft outfitted with high-tech imaging equipment is in the air trying to help firefighters in Southern California locate wildfires. Pilots are controlling it remotely. Its thermal-infrared imaging system can see through thick smoke. Washington (AP) California officials and FBI agents are trying to determine whether arson caused one of the wildfires burning in Southern California. They've searched a home in Orange County as part of the investigation. White House (AP) President Bush says the government is concerned about the safety of California wildfire victims and their property. He has signed a major disaster declaration, triggering long-term federal funds for people whose losses aren't covered by insurance. CAPITOL HILL (AP) A rough day for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. She faced anti-war protesters during a House hearing. As Rice entered the room, one woman rushed toward her waving her hands, painted blood red, and shouting that Rice was a "war criminal." NEW YORK (AP) Wall Street has recovered from steep losses today, with blue chips briefly bobbing into positive territory.
