5 illegal aliens arrested in Minot

(Don May, KCJB Minot) MINOT, N.D. (AP) The Highway Patrol says five illegal aliens were arrested near Minot and turned over the U.S. Border Patrol.

Trooper Captain Gary Orluck says a vehicle was stopped at about 1 a.m. Saturday about two miles east of Minot. Troopers said the vehicle had a broken tail light and a license plate that was not readable.

Orluck says none of the occupants in the vehicle spoke English.

Grand Forks Border Patrol Agent Brett Baumann says all the illegal aliens are males. He says two of them are from Nicaragua ... two are from Guatemala and one is from Mexico.

Troopers say the 17-year-old driver of the vehicle was charged with minor in consumption of alcohol and driving without liability insurance.

Posted by Barb on Oct 30 2007 2:46PM - I am writing this as a working citizen of this country and am saying to any and all other citizens that we need to stand up and send our senators and congressman our opinions on illegal aliens. Hopefully, you, as a citizen, are well aware of the tax dollars that it is costig to have these people "invading" our states. It is fully known the horrible numbers of true citizens we have that are starving, without homes, without proper education, etc. that are in our states now that we arent taking care of and WHAT IS THIS????, we are now to have our tax dollars go to people who are here illegally??? It's time to start speaking out! Some may say, "well, not in ND", but this incidence just proves that ND is no longer an exception!!!

Posted by Ben on Oct 30 2007 4:45PM - The illegal aliens have nor respect for america, or it's laws, and this once again proves it. Time to rid the country of these parasites, and all politicians that support them.

Posted by John on Oct 30 2007 6:12PM - How many times do the American people need to tell our ELECTED POLITICIANS that we don't want anything to do with any amnesty program?
We just want our boarders closed, and our immigration laws enforced.
Don't try to round up illegals just take down the bird feeder by sanctioning the employers that hire them.
All of you politicians swore to uphold the constitution of the united states, not twist it to pander to every whining group that wants things their way.

The defeat of the DREAM Act was a major setback for amnesty proponents, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has now indicated that he wants to attach the AgJobs amnesty text to the 2007 Farm Bill Reauthorization.

The AgJobs guestworker amnesty bill by Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Larry Craig (R-ID) would provide an amnesty for illegal aliens engaged in agricultural work and for their spouses and children-potentially 3 million people. It would provide few safeguards against fraud in the application process, and it would relax the standards for H-2A agricultural guestworker visas.

Posted by Roger in Mississippi on Nov 2 2007 3:41AM - I am glad to see the the North Dakota police got involved with this flagrant violation to our immigration laws. It is going to take involvement at all law enforcement levels to control this problem. It is too big for "only" federal enforcement.

I agree with John about our elected leaders NOT listening. They traditionally never have, but because we Americans are so enraged by this real threat they may have to.

Tom "Tanc" Tancredo as our President is the ONLY candidate I trust to actually address this issue and finally vigorously enforce our immigration laws.

All the rest of the candidates are "wanna be's". They have jumped on the illegal immigration wagon and are pandering for votes.

Tanc has been there on this issue long before it came on this nations's RADAR.

I simply clicked on this site that tracks illegal alien activity.
