Gibbs ordered to serve 15 more years for jail assaults; rape...Dec 20 2007 6:05PM
Associated Press Fargo, N.D. (AP) A former Barnes County jailer has been ordered to serve a 15-year prison term on top of a sentence of life without parole. Moe Gibbs was sentenced for assaulting female inmates and for a 2004 Fargo rape. He received 25 years in prison with 10 suspended for the jail assaults and 20 years with eight suspended for the rape. Those two sentences run at the same time. During today's sentencing hearing, the victim called Gibbs a monster and said he should never get out of jail. Gibbs was given a chance to speak but declined. Gibbs was sentenced earlier to life in prison without parole for the murder of Valley City State University student Mindy Morgenstern.
