Hemp Supporter Unhappy With Delegation

North Dakota's congressional delegation isn't doing what people in the state want them to do.

That's what a local supporter of industrial hemp production says.

Robert Robinson with Modern Hemp claims 70 percent of North Dakota Constituents agree with Industrial Hemp.

He also says Canada has been growing the crop for ten years now and has had no problems...

(Robert Robinson, Modern Hemp) "It's very widely known that industrial hemp is a non-drug variety of the cannibus plant, and that there is no possible way to get any kind of euphoric effect from industrial hemp. Canada's been growing this as a crop for almost ten years now, and RCMP has had zero problems with the enforcement regarding industrial hemp."

Last month a lawsuit filed by two North Dakota Farmers against the U.S. government was dismissed saying federal law considers industrial hemp to be the same as marijuana, which is an illegal drug.
