Associated Press BAGHDAD (AP) Iraq's President Nouri al-Maliki (NOO'-ree ahl-MAHL'-ih-kee) is vowing to "stand up" to the Shiite militias and their violent retaliation to the offensive he ordered last week. Shiite militia leader Muqtada al-Sadr is calling on his forces to defy a government order to surrender. White House (AP) President Bush is beginning another farewell visit to the international community. He leaves for Romania tomorrow for his last summit with NATO leaders. Later on the trip, Bush will meet with Russia's President Vladimir Putin, who leaves office in May. JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) Hillary CLinton is not backing down in her fight for the Democratic presidential nomination. Clinton told a crowd of supporters in Kentucky that they will have a choice when they head to the polls in May. Opponent Barack Obama is not joining calls for her to step aside, saying Clinton "can run as long as she wants." CHICAGO (AP) From Sydney's Opera House, to Chicago's Sears Tower, many of the world's most iconic structures turned off their lights for an hour last night to draw attention to the threat of climate change. Earth Hour is sponsored by the environmental group WWF. LOS ANGELES (AP) A record-breaking baseball spectacle in Los Angeles. More than 115,000 people packed into the LA Coliseum last night for an exhibition baseball game between the Dodgers and Red Sox. It's the biggest baseball crowd ever.
