Allegations of torture evidence...US: Iraq blast by Iran-backed Shiites

Washington (AP) A human rights group says medical examinations of former terrorism suspects held by the U.S. military have found evidence of war crimes. The group Physicians for Human Rights says psychological damage persists.

BAGHDAD (AP) The U.S. is blaming a massive car bomb blast in Iraq on a Shiite "special group." The U.S. believes Shiite special groups are backed by Iran. Yesterday's Baghdad blast killed more than 50 people.

WASHINGTON (AP) Barack Obama has gathered experts to school him on national security. The Democratic presidential candidate meets for the first time today with former high-ranking officials, lawmakers and military officers.

UNDATED (AP) The tomato is slowly returning to your favorite fast food restaurant. Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, A&W, and Long John Silver have begun restocking tomatoes not linked to the Salmonella scare.

WASHINGTON (AP) The Food and Drug Administration is sending warning letters about bogus cancer cures. The letters have gone to 23 domestic companies and two foreign individuals about their products on the Internet. The FDA is threatening federal prosecution.
