Intersection to get more stop signsSep 5 2008 6:53AM
Associated Press YANKTON, S.D. (AP) Motorists who travel through the Yankton County intersection of U.S. Highway 81 and state Highway 46 may be safer in the future. The state Transportation Department has decided that a four-way stop is best for the junction. Currently, only drivers on Highway 46 are required to stop at the crossing about 20 miles north of Yankton. Traffic controls will be placed in the future on Highway 81, too. The work is being scheduled, but the completion date has not yet been determined. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 09-05-08 0645CDT |
