Mexican police find nine bodies dumped in TijuanaOct 4 2008 4:56PM
Associated Press They're believed to be the latest of nearly 50 people killed in a week of violence linked to the drug trade. Five of the bodies found today were dumped between two small shopping centers. They had been beaten and their hands were tied. Two others were found on a road, beheaded and wrapped in blankets. Their heads were in black plastic bags nearby. Mexican authorities are blaming the violence on warring leaders within a drug gang. A note near the bodies found today said, "These are the bricklayer's people." A message found Monday with 12 bodies dumped near an elementary school threatened everybody working with "The Engineer." Tijuana has seen more than 400 drug-related killings this year. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 10-04-08 1639CDT |
