ELLENDALE, N.D. (AP) Authorities have identified a man shot in a weekend hunting accident in Dickey County.

County officials say 53-year-old Paul Veland of Ellendale was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital after the Sunday night shooting.

Dickey County Sheriff Jim Bohannon says a stray bullet struck Veland while he was hunting with his wife. He says Veland's condition has stabilized and he's recovering from the gunshot wound.
