Eds: APNewsNow.

AP Photo planned Bismarck, N.D. (AP) The North Dakota canvassing board has approved results from the Nov. 4 election and Democrats are considering whether to seek recounts in some legislative races.

In the state Senate race in District 12, Republican incumbent Dave Nething leads Democrat John Grabinger by 12 votes, a margin close enough for an automatic recount.

Secretary of State Al Jaeger said Stutsman County officials will conduct the recount Friday.

The Democratic state House candidates in Districts 6, 10 and 22 trail their Republican opponents by 71, 21 and 91 votes respectively.

Democratic Chairman David Strauss said the party's legal team will make a recommendation on whether to seek a recount. Jaeger said the Democrats have until the close of business Friday.
