WASHINGTON (AP) The Senate has approved seven additional weeks of jobless payments for people who have exhausted their benefits or are about to. People out of work in states where the unemployment rate is above six percent could get an additional 13 weeks above the 26 weeks of regular benefits. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) It's to be the U.S. military's first execution in nearly 50 years. Forty-three-year-old former Army cook Ronald Gray has been convicted of multiple rapes and murders in North Carolina in the late 80s. He is set to die next month. PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) More children are dying of starvation in Haiti.
