Sticking around...Common sense to most...Yum!

Washington (AP) Triple-A says this could be the first Thanksgiving in six years that holiday travel declines. The auto club predicts about a 1.5 percent drop in travelers across the nation. That makes for about 400,000 fewer motorists.

WASHINGTON (AP) A series of economic indicators are due out this morning, and for the most part it's unlikely they'll put anyone in a festive mood for the holiday. But if you want something positive, a slight drop is expected in the number of people who applied for jobless benefits last week. The government is rolling out more money to try to unfreeze credit.

CHICAGO (AP) President-elect Barack Obama says "the least" any bank executive can do if they're laying off employees this year is forgo bigtime bonuses they've become famous for. He made those comments during an interview with ABC News that'll air Wednesday. A handful of banks have already said annual bonuses are getting skipped this year.

UNDATED (AP) The Food and Drug Administration says there's no need to worry that traces of melamine have turned up in some brands of infant formula. The agency stresses that unlike in China, the melamine is attributed to the manufacturing process and the U.S.

products are safe.

HOUSTON (AP) Astronauts on space shuttle Endeavor are getting ready for an irradiated, freeze-dried, vacuum-packed Thanksgiving dinner. Dinner will include turkey, yams, and stuffing just like many other Americans.
