Rocky Mountain College lays off 5 staffersDec 23 2008 11:48AM
Associated Press BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) Rocky Mountain College has eliminated five staff positions, but President Michael Mace says it has nothing to do with financial problems. Mace says the positions being eliminated at the end of the semester will allow the college to redirect money to other needs, including recruitment and retention of students and working on Web sites. Mace declined to say which jobs were cut. Heather Rathbun Nitz confirmed that her job as director of alumni and parent relations was one of the positions being eliminated. She said she learned of the cuts six weeks ago. Information from: Billings Gazette, http://www.billingsgazette.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
