Associated Press COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) A top South Carolina Republican leader says Gov. Mark Sanford should resign. Glenn McCall who's one of the state's two national representatives to the Republican National Committee says party members want Sanford to go. He says Sanford repeatedly has said party leaders should be held accountable for not upholding the GOP's principles. Sanford revealed yesterday that he's been having an affair for the past year. TEHRAN, Iran (AP) A former campaign manager for Mir Hossein Mousavi is among four people still reported to be in custody, from a group of dozens of university professors who were arrested after meeting with Mousavi. Meanwhile, Iranian state media are reporting that in addition to 17 protesters who were killed in the post-election unrest, eight members of a pro-government militia were also killed and dozens more were wounded. Washington (AP) More support for Somalia's government is on its way from the Obama administration. U.S. officials say Somali officials will be getting money for weapons. And, Americans will help the military in the neighboring African country of Djibouti train Somali forces. The Somali government has been struggling against increasingly powerful Islamic militants. HOUSTON (AP) Prosecutors in Houston want billionaire R. Allen Stanford to be held without bond as he awaits trial on fraud charges. They say he might have access to billions of dollars in secret funds. Stanford pleaded not guilty today to charges that he swindled investors out of $7 billion as part of a massive investment scam. CLEVELAND (AP) It's a pairing that the Cleveland Cavaliers hope will bring them their first NBA title. They've completed a trade that will bring superstar center Shaquille O'Neal to Cleveland, to play alongside the league's MVP, LeBron James.
