MoveOn.org Going After Fox News’ Advertisers

These tolerant liberals will not tolerate a news network with a political slant that tills any direction but the left.  Fox News must be stopped, because it’s not like people can change the channel to CNN or MSNBC

NEW YORK - Liberal activists are stepping up their campaign against Fox News Channel by pressuring advertisers not to patronize the network

MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America’s Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos

The groups have successfully pressured Democratic presidential candidates not to appear at any debate sponsored by Fox, and are also trying to get Home Depot Inc. to stop advertising there.

Here’s the ratings for the cable news networks from this Thursday:

Notice that Fox News doubled its nearest competitor, CNN, in “prime time” ratings.  Fox also beat everyone else for total day ratings and in all the key evening time slots

This happens day after day

So, good luck MoveOn.org, but I’m pretty sure Fox’s advertisers are going to stay right where they’re at.  Because while Fox may slant to the right, conservatives buy stuff too

Posted by HP on Jul 28 2007 6:36PM - It's absolutely amazing to watch the move-on.org liberals take these measures to destroy those who disagree with them. They're going after Home Depot because it's trying to develop a greener image yet supporting a network that dare question global-warming dogma. As an American who uses energy efficient light bulbs, recycles, and takes other feasible measures to be friendly to the environment, should I be destroyed if I dare to disagree with them as well? I have a 4-year college degree, I read and research a wide variety of topics, and I disagree with/question some global warming arguments. I certainly will continue to reject these left-wing facists. Having known many move-on.org supporters, I will continue to take the same approach my grandfather advised me to take with these sort of people. "Don't try to have a rational conversation with an irrational person." I will continue to do my best to leave a good planet for my heirs.
