Heat takes toll on Twin Cities Marathon runnersOct 7 2007 10:04PM
Associated Press and rose during the race, slowing runners. The marathon's medical director, Steve Sterner, said 250 people were helped at the medical tent for heat exhaustion, dehydration and heatstroke. That compares to 160 runners treated in last year's race. Sterner said three runners were admitted to Hennepin County Medical Center to be held overnight for observation.
