Choi takes lead into third round

SOUTHPORT, England (AP) K.J. Choi tees off today as the leader in the third round of the British Open.

The South Korean is the only Golfer to break par through two rounds. His 3-under 67 yesterday left him at 1-under on the difficult Royal Birkdale layout.

Fifty-three-year-old Greg Norman trails by one, conjuring up images of his two Open titles, the last coming 15 years ago.

Strong winds have greeted the golfers with early tee times and are expected to continue throughout the day. Gusts are forecast to reach nearly 50 miles-an-hour. Showers interspersed with sunny intervals are also expected.
