PITTSBURGH (AP) The Pittsburgh Steelers are the home team in tonight's NFL game with Cincinnati. The Bengals enter the contest fresh off that 13-13 tie with Philadelphia last Sunday while the Steelers are coming off their 11-10 win over San Diego.

UNDATED (AP) The NBA schedule tonight consists of two good games. In the first contest Detroit faces the Celtics in Boston, while in the nightcap Phoenix is home to the Los Angeles Lakers.

That game features the top two clubs from the Pacific Division.

ATLANTA (AP) Miami of Florida, the nation's 23rd-ranked team in the Associated Press college football Poll, is on the road tonight for a game in Atlanta. The Hurricanes are playing Georgia Tech in a big Atlantic Coast Conference game for each school. Both the 'Canes and Yellow Jackets are vying for a spot in the ACC title game.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) In the lone game last night involving a ranked college football team, 14th-ranked Ball State upped its record to 11-and-0 with a 31-24 win over Central Michigan. Nate Davis led the way for the Cardinals with four touchdown passes.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) The Cleveland Cavaliers had their eight-game winning streak snapped last night. Playing the Pistons in the Palace of Auburn Hills, the Cavs were beaten by Detroit 96-89. Allen Iverson scored 23 points while Rasheed Wallace had 21.
