Associated Press PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) President Barack Obama says he's "gravely concerned" about the safety and well-being of Fargo journalist Roxana Saberi, who's in prison in Iran. The president says he's confident she is not involved in espionage against Tehran. TEHRAN, Iran (AP) Iran's president is promising that Roxana Saberi will be able to offer a full defense during her appeal of her spying conviction. Saberi, who's an American-Iranian citizen from Fargo, has been sentenced to eight years in prison in Iran. The U.S. says the charges are baseless and calls on Iran to respond to the case "in a positive way." LaMOURE, N.D. (AP) TheNational Guard says it's working to reinforce an emergency spillway in LaMoure County. The Guard says the county asked for help late last night to reinforce the dam at Lake LaMoure, and a Black Hawk helicopter from Fargo has been dropping dozens of 1-ton sandbags. MINOT, N.D. (AP) Minot Police say they've suspended the search for a man who jumped into the flooding Souris River on Thursday morning during a police chase. Authorities say 27-year-old Ryan Eback of Minot jumped in the river after he was stopped by a Highway Patrol trooper on suspicion of drunken driving. Police believe he was overcome by the current.
