Some Fargoarea contractors feel slightedApr 23 2009 1:25PM
Associated Press FARGO, N.D. (AP) Some Fargo area contractors feel slighted after a $3 million contact to dismantle dikes in the city went to a Minnesota company. The Army Corps of Engineers awarded the contract to Davidson Contracting of Holt, Minn. Bob Schmidt says his Kindred company ran crews nonstop when the levees went up. He says local contractors had little time to prepare bids for taking them down. Kevin Davidson says his company got the cleanup contract through a competitive bid process. The cleanup is expected to take about three weeks. Information from: KFGO-AM, http://kfgo.com (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 04-23-09 1316CDT |
