(AP) Legislators have approved 12.9 million dollars for two new committees in charge of developing a plan to fight tobacco use. The wrangling over the committees which were part of a ballot measure approved last fall ended when the Republican House supported the money late last night. House leader Al Carlson says it's not "an easy pill to swallow." ASHLEY, N.D. (AP) An Ashley woman is dead after the car in which she was riding rolled into a ditch yesterday. The name of the 80-year-old woman has not yet been released. The driver of the car is hospitalized. Surrey, N.D. (AP) Authorities have identified the two men killed in a small plane crash in some trees near Surrey. Federal agencies are investigating the crash that killed the pilot, 43-year-old Ron Erickson of Esmond, and his passenger, 46-year-old Robert Stauffer of Minot.
