A dream is coming true for a man who came to Minot from Russia, 15 years ago. Rinat Mouzafarov started the Institute of Dance and Ballot, and soon will have a studio of his own. The new studio is four times the space, with areas for classes, set construction, costume design and dressing rooms. Rinat's studio will be moving from the Oak Park area to this building on North Hill near Pinkerton Animal Hospital, that most recently served as a church.

Rinat's studio should be ready for classes by August.

A new sign in front of the Plaza on 31st, as Thomas Eyecare is becomming Johnson Eyecare and Eyewear, as of June First. Optometrist Dr. Darin Johnson, a Velva native, purchased the business a year and a half ago. The name wasn't changed right way. A second eye doctor is working with Dr. Johnson, and he is Dr. James Jeske who joined the practice last fall.

Albertson's Consulting remodeled the former B and B Drug building and turned it into what is called the Fountain Plaza. We've told you about that before. Space was still available for another office, and by June 3rd the North Dakota Public Defenders will move in. The entrance is on the north side of Fountain Plaza.

As we mentioned before, new owners at Twin Oaks on Lake Metigoshe. The resort and convention center has now re-opened. Manager Josh Kringen says they have hotel rooms, camping facilities and cabins, plus a restaurant and lounge. They are already booking weddings and conventions.

In Rolla, new owners Kevin and Judy Parisien took over Prairie Lanes this month. Its managed by their daughter. Remodeling is underway on the restaurant and lounge, the bowling lanes are being taken out. With the extra space, Amy's Floral and Craft shop will be moving over.

On Main Street in Rolla, Laura Hendrickson bought a floral shop a month ago and calls it Praire Made Flowers, Quilts, and Unique Gifts. For Business Beat I'm Carla Burbidge watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
