Hoeven spokesman Don Canton says the fact that Ducks Unlimited did not build community consensus for the proposal was a factor in the governor's decision. BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) Sen. Kent Conrad says he's impressed with Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor but will wait until after her confirmation hearings before deciding whether to support her. The North Dakota Democrat met with Sotomayor today. Williston, N.D. (AP) Voters in Williston have decided to extend the city's 1-cent sales tax another 10 years until the year 2020, for economic development and infrastructure.
