The rumored race for the US Senate seat up for grabs in North Dakota next year between incumbant Senator Byron Dorgan and Governor John Hoeven will remain just that a rumor until at least September.

The Governor says he is likely to decide if he will run for the seat early that month.

The chairman of the Republican Party, Gary Emineth, says he wants Republican challengers to Dorgan and US Representative Earl Pomeroy in place by Labor Day which is Septembe 7th this year.

Hoeven says the party chair's goal is reasonable and he intends to make his decision on whether or not to run by that time. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
