The parents of a Minot Army soldier who was seriously wounded in Iraq say Captain Daniel Gade is fighting an infection in his abdomen.

His mother, Erica, says Gade is struggling and looked like he might die. She says the family decided to "walk on faith and not by sight."

Daniel Gade was wounded when a bomb went off near his vehicle on January Tenth. His right leg was later amputated, and he's recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

His father, Ron, says the family is proud of him, and it's hard to watch him struggle. But he says he's confident that his son will persevere. | save this article / add to your favorites list
