Labor Department says former Fargo landlord discriminated...Apr 6 2007 7:33AM
Associated Press FARGO, N.D. (AP) The state Labor Department's human rights division says a former Fargo landlord who was accused of sexual harassment by at least three female tenants committed housing discrimination. Accusations made in the complaints against Lowell Siebels of Harwood include propositions for sex in lieu of rent. Carolyn Siebels, Lowell Siebels' wife and co-owner of the properties, also was named in the complaints. The Siebels' attorney, Barton Cahill, says his clients deny the allegations. He says the Siebels have sold all of their rental properties except one, which they are trying to sell. Cahill also says that the women who filed the complaints plan to take the case to state district court. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 04-06-07 0725CDT |
