KXMCTV Minot The Red River has been rising and is expected to crest Saturday about 15 feet above flood stage. Workers in downtown Fargo were shoring up a levee this morning. Around town, sandbagging efforts are underway with many students pitching in to help protect the town. The river is at 27 feet which is nine feet above flood stage, but not causing any major damage in Fargo. Fargo officials say they're not aware of any homes in danger from the rising Red River.
