Fargo man faces felony child abuse chargesNov 20 2007 9:28AM
Associated Press Fargo, N.D. (AP) A Fargo man faces felony child abuse charges after doctors say they discovered his 3-month-old son had multiple skull fractures and broken ribs. Court documents say 38-year-old Corey Cowdrey initially denied hurting the boy but later admitted to dropping the infant headfirst and to hitting the baby when he wouldn't stop crying. Cowdrey could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. He has not yet entered a plea. Cowdrey was released after posting $10,000 bond and is due back in court December 20. The boy has been put in protective custody. Information from: The Forum, http://www.in-forum.com (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 11-20-07 0919CST |
