BHSU student to report for MTV

SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) A sophomore at Black Hills State University is working as a political correspondent for MTV while going to school in Spearfish.

Nineteen-year-old Jonna Langston of Lusk, Wyoming, is one of 51 young citizen journalists recruited by MTV. There's one in each state and the District of Columbia.

She has attended orientation and training at MTV headquarters in New York and gets a new computer, video software and a video camera.

Starting in a couple weeks, Langston and the other members of "Street Team '08" will have to produce weekly multimedia reports, which can be short videos, written articles, blog entries, still photos or podcasts.

She says she plans to travel to eastern South Dakota for some of her reports.
