(Don Haney, KFGO, Fargo) FARGO, N.D. (AP) Narcotics officers are finding attack dogs to be a new threat as they work drug cases in the Fargo area.

Yesterday, police entered a home in Moorhead (Minnesota) with a search warrant, and were met by a vicious pit bull.

Lieutenant Shannon Monroe says it's the ninth attack dog officers have encountered in the past week while looking for drugs.

None of the officers was bitten in yesterday's incident. The pit pull escaped after charging the officers, but later was captured.

Investigators say they seized five pounds of pot along with $3,300 in cash and a car. Officials say some of the suspects were seen delivering pot to other locations in the area, and more arrests are expected.
