Former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman leaves federal prison in Louisiana on bond Eds: APNewsNow. Will be led. Changes dateline from Montgomery.

OAKDALE, La. (AP) Former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman has left a federal prison in Louisiana.

He had been in federal custody for nine months after being convicted on bribery and other charges in Alabama.

A federal appeals court ruled Thursday that Siegelman should be released on bond pending the appeal of his case.
