Man sentenced for stealing from Bingo PalaceJun 14 2008 11:26AM
Associated Press Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) A former cashier at the Bingo Palace in Grand Forks has been sentenced for stealing from the business. Thirty-three-year-old Heath Volk was ordered to serve six months of confinement for taking more than $136,000 during a two-year period. Volk will serve at least three months of his time in jail while taking part in a work release program. He might be eligible to serve the last three months under electronic home monitoring. He also must repay the money he took. Volk was fired from the Bingo Palace late last year. He pleaded guilty in March to felony theft.
