Primal Quest spokesman expects finish SaturdayJun 28 2008 12:43PM
Associated Press BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) The top team in the Primal Quest Montana endurance race is likely to finish the 500-mile event Saturday night in Big Sky, where the race began on Monday. That's according to Primal Quest spokesman Kraig Becker. The cross-country race began with 58 teams, each with four people. By Friday, 46 remained in the official competition. Seven had withdrawn and five continued racing but won't be ranked. A helicopter Friday removed a team from Sacajawea Peak in Gallatin County after one member suffered a leg injury and could not continue. The race involves running, cycling, kayaking, climbing, rappelling and swimming. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 06-28-08 1232CDT |
