Associated Press ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) John McCain is sounding a bipartisan tone in his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention. Excerpts show McCain is promising to reach out "to anyone" to help him get the contry moving again. His nomination is one of the most remarkable comebacks in recent times. ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Barack Obama's campaign is thankful for one thing about Republican rival sarah palin's vice-presidential acceptance speech: money. An Obama spokesman says Palin's stinging address prompted donations from more than 130,000 donors. The campaign says it's raised 10 million dollars and the total is "still climbing." Washington (AP) The Pentagon is confirming that President Bush has been given recommendations on troop levels in Iraq. Earlier, officials told the AP that advisers have recommended Bush maintain 15 combat brigades in Iraq until the end of the year. There had been expectations that improved security would allow for quicker cuts. NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) Tropical Storm Hanna, already blamed for at least 137 deaths in Haiti, is swirling along the edge of the Bahamas. Forecasters say it could reach hurricane force before hitting the Carolinas and bring rain to much of the East Coast. And Hurricane Ike, with 135 mile-per-hour winds, could reach the Bahamas by late Sunday. SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) A California lawmaker is seeking a legal review of the women's pro Golf tour's new policy that requires all LPGA players to speak effective English in 2009.
