Fence dispute leads to criminal chargesOct 4 2008 5:43AM
Associated Press ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) An Aberdeen man accused of firing a shotgun toward a neighbor has pleaded not guilty and has requested a jury trial. Brian C. Bourdon, who is 51, is charged with aggravated assault and alternate counts of recklessly discharging a firearm and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. The charges stem from events in May, when Bourdon got into an argument about a fence that a neighbor was building at Elm Lake. Authorities say Bourdon was angry because the fence blocked his view. They allege that he fired a shotgun at the ground but in the direction of the neighbor on the other side of the fence. No one was hurt.
