Washington (AP) Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice plans to visit India later this week to offer a show of support in the wake of last week's terror attacks. Rice's schedule already included a stop in London, as well as meetings with her counterparts in NATO and stops in other European cities.

MOSCOW (AP) A top Russian general says the Russian military will upgrade its missiles in response to U.S. plans to deploy weapons in space. Interfax news agency quotes him saying weapons will be modernized to protect Russia from space-based components of the U.S. missile defense system.

CHICAGO (AP) Life was difficult for many Thanksgiving travelers Sunday. Flights were delayed by hours in New York, while dozens of flights were canceled by snow around Chicago. Snow also made driving nearly impossible in parts of Colorado.

NEW YORK (AP) A daredevil who tried to jump off the Empire State Building will drop by a New York City courthouse today to testify about it. Former stunt show host Jeb Corliss was arrested on the landmark's 86th-floor observation deck in April of 2006 with a parachute and a helmet with a video camera attached.
