Gifts for Your Emotional Health

Count your blessings each morning before you get out of bed. As you list and reflect upon 5 things that you are grateful for, you will create an attitude of thankfulness that is a powerful tool that can shape your day as well as your view of the world. This is perhaps the best foundation that you can give your life.

Start each morning with breakfast. Even if you have to race out of the house in the morning, you can still take good care of yourself with a healthy breakfast. Studies consistently show that people who eat breakfast do better on all levels than people who don?t. Breakfast eaters weigh less, their brains function better, and they enjoy better overall health and wellness.

Simplify your life. You will free up time to do the stuff that you want to do. This can apply to all areas of your life, but start small. Unfortunately it can be hard to find time to even think about how to simplify your life, or where to start. Free up 30 minutes a day to make a plan. Where do you find 30 minutes in your busy day? Watch less TV, take a shorter lunch break, do 1 less thing each day.

Stop complaining. Put the past behind you and make some changes in your life that will increase your sense of satisfaction at home, work or play. | save this article / add to your favorites list
