Associated Press ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who's now in Pakistan, says she's satisfied that the Pakistani government is trying to find those behind the terror attacks in India. Rice also says Pakistan is very committed to the war on terror. BAGHDAD (AP) Iraq's government says it got a call from President-elect Barack Obama. The prime minister's office says Obama thanked the government for helping win approval of a new security pact, and stressed his commitment to a responsible troop withdrawal. Washington (AP) When a report on retail sales is released this morning, it's expected to show the weakest November performance since the index began in 1969. It's believed sales fell 1 percent. A report on new jobless claims is expected to show an increase last week of 8,000. WASHINGTON (AP) The leaders of General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler will be back on Capitol Hill this morning to again ask for a bailout. They've submitted detailed plans on what they'd do with the $34 billion they want, but their reception could still be chilly. MIAMI (AP) Sometimes, when you're famous, it can be tough convincing people it's really you on the phone. That's what President-elect Barack Obama ran into yesterday when he called Florida Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. The Miami Herald reports she hung up, thinking it was a prank.
