Lutefisk Dinner PrepsDec 12 2008 8:21PM
KXMCTV Minot For 19 years, Bethany Lutheran Church has been serving up the fishy delicacy, along with Meatballs and many other homemade foods, for an annual fundraiser. Most of the preparations began today, which include peeling and cutting over 600 pounds of potatoes. Volunteers arrived early this morning and didn't leave until everything was near-ready. Barbara NyBakken has been helping with the dinner for several years now, and she says despite all the work that goes into it, the fundraiser is always a lot of fun. (Barbary Nybakken / Lutefisk Dinner Volunteer) "Today we're doing all the set-up, we'll be making gravy to put over the meatballs for tomorrow, and then of course setting all the tables and getting all the silverware wrapped. It's just a jolly time, what do I tell you." Bethany Lutheran's Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner will run from eleven to seven tomorrow at Bethany Lutheran Church, and Nybakken says they're praying for some cooperative weather.
