Las Vegas man gets 20 years for child pornFeb 19 2009 3:39PM
Associated Press BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) A 57-year-old Nevada prison inmate has been sentenced to nearly 20 years on federal child pornography charges, but not before the judge ordered him removed from the courtroom. U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull warned Laymon P. McGauhey of Las Vegas to "pipe down" or face removal as McGauhey became increasingly agitated during Wednesday's hearing. McGauhey had turned away from the judge and refused a deputy marshal's order to face the judge. Cebull ordered him removed from court. Cebull sentenced McGauhey to 19 years and seven months in prison. McGauhey pleaded guilty to transportation and possession of child pornography in November after investigators found thousands of photographs and 110 videos on a computer and DVDs belonging to McGauhey in August 2005. McGauhey is serving a Nevada state sentence of 10 years to life for sexually abusing a child. The federal sentence will run consecutively to the Nevada sentence.
