Waterfowl Group Raises FundsFeb 20 2009 8:00PM
KXMCTV Minot Delta Waterfowl is the oldest waterfowl group in the nation, although the local chapter is only about three years old. Eric Myre is the local group's president. He says the banquet includes silent and traditional auctions of all kinds of hunting equipment and other collectible items. And he says the thousands of dollars raised support the group's outreach all year long. (Eric Myre, Delta Waterfowl) "This year we did henhouse projects which are some nesting structures. We teamed up with other conservation groups and did a youth outdoors fest to show kids what there is to do in the outdoors. We also put on our mentored youth waterfowl hunt. And also this year we did a mentored women's hunt." The Delta Waterfowl banquet is on tonight at Minot's Grand International.
