BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) Ten people have filed to run for the chairmanship of the Crow Tribe.

The office became vacant after Chairman Carl Venne died Feb. 15.

The deadline to file was Wednesday and the primary election is March 28. The top two vote-getters advance to the April 18 general election.

The candidates are Adrian Bird Sr., Gilbert Birdinground Jr., Sharone "Papooski" Curly, Cedric Black Eagle, Edwina Little Light, Leroy Not Afraid, Burton Pretty On Top Sr., Larry Pretty Weasel, Wallace Red Star and Vianna Stewart.
