Snow falls in western ND, in June

Eds: APNewsNow. Will be led.

Bismarck, N.D. (AP) Snow has fallen in Dickinson in June, the first time in nearly 60 years the city has seen snow past May.

National Weather Service meteorologist Janine Vining in Bismarck says there were unofficial reports of a couple of inches of snow in Dickinson on Saturday.

Vining says snow in North Dakota in June is uncommon, though it's not unheard of. She says other parts of the state have seen June snow within the past 10 years.

Williston and Bismarck had received only rain as of mid-Saturday, but Vining said snow was possible in those cities later in the day.

Posted by dickey_richardson on Jun 7 2009 12:21AM - Well, this is a real opportunity for Al and Tipper Gore, must be time to start the GLOBAL COOLING FOUNDATION and start a new fund that invests in companies that will keep the globe WARM rather than cool.......including restarting companies that are going out of business in Maine, Minnesota and Michigan which make WARM clothes and BIG cars that can slough through the snow? We can start a new bill in Congress..."Cap and Trod" which is a wool cap and sturdy boots to get us through the snow. Etc. The media has now proved itself completely stupid...we have been cooling it for eight years. Yeeeeeeeeeeeech.

I think good health care will come until we realize what are those unhealthy foods we intake. Good diet will do.We're paying more these days not only at the gas pump but also at the grocery store. Blame it on rising oil prices, disappointing crop yields, global warming, and/or the weak dollar.Planning ahead is the most important step to getting more bang for your buck at the grocery store,.Eating healthier foods can actually save you money and health against possible diseases. The researchers found that when families went on weight loss diets, they not only lost weight but reduced their food budgets.Learn how to control spending. It helps minimize the possibility og getting personal loans.
