http://sayanythingblog.com/index.php If you cup your hand behind your ear you’ll hear the beginning of the much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the left on this one. It’ll get louder as the day goes on In one of a series of interviews with ABC News Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas flatly states that liberal progessives are as bad as the old southern racists when it comes to their view of him. From the interview:
Hear that gnashing yet? He goes even further:
Being called on the arrogance of their views is not something our progressive community is used to. It will be interesting to watch their reaction and the reaction from the media guard dogs who keep them safe from all harm. Will they scream and kick their feet in one of their juvenile tantrums as they often do when challenged, or will they slink into a quiet, dark corner and lick their wounds when they realize that this opponent may be of a stature that at this point they cannot impune? I think they’ll howl and thrash and throw anything they can at him to make his staements mean less, even if they are the very painful truth. It’s what they do best
They can’t destroy him. They can’t tear him down. Too late, libs, he’s there to stay. And he’s got much, much more to say

"...I went to a speech that Justice Scalia gave at a synagogue here in New York a couple of years ago, and someone asked him, `What’s the difference between your judicial philosophy and Justice Thomas?’ I thought a very good question. And Scalia talked for a while and he said, `Look, I’m a conservative. I’m a texturalist. I’m an originalist. But I’m not a nut.’"
