Darin Erstad says Barry Bonds' record should be celebrated...Aug 8 2007 2:33PM
Associated Press (Mark McKenzie, KQDJ, Jamestown) JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) Jamestown native Darin Erstad says Barry Bonds' home run record should be celebrated. Erstad, a Chicago White Sox centerfielder, says Bonds has never tested positive for steroids, and no matter what people think of him, he's one of the best hitters in baseball. In his words: "It has to be recognized." Bonds broke Hank Aaron's record of 755 home runs last night. The San Francisco Giants outfielder hit his 756th home run at his home park.
