Florida State tops Minnesota 75-61 in ACC/Big Ten challenge

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Isaiah Swann scored 15 points as Florida State beat Minnesota 75-61 in tonight in Tallahassee in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.

It was the first loss of the season for the Gophers, who drop to 3-and-1 under new coach Tubby Smith.

Florida State led 38-32 at the half and expanded its lead to the finish. The difference was at the free throw line where the Seminoles hit 27 of 32 shots while Minnesota was just 6-of-10.

Freshman Blake Hoffarber led Minnesota with 12 points.
