UND hires fulltime women's tennis coachJun 22 2008 1:11PM
Associated Press Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) Tom Wynne has been named full-time women's tennis coach at the University of North Dakota after serving in a part-time capacity for the last 11 years. Wynne led UND to seven straight NCAA Division II regional tournament berths. The Sioux were 14-5 last season. UND is moving all of its athletic programs to Division I in the fall. UND athletic director Brian Faison says Wynne has the vision to help the tennis program make the jump. Wynne has a long association with UND tennis as a player and coach and was inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame in 1999. He says he's looking forward to leading the Sioux to the next level. Information from: Grand Forks Herald, http://www.grandforksherald.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
