Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) Yankees right-hander Mike Mussina announced his retirement today, ending a big league career that included 270 wins over 18 seasons. Mussina leaves the game after his only 20-win season and a month shy of his 40th birthday. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) Doneal Mack scored 19 points and Shawn Taggart notched a double-double as 13th-ranked Memphis beat Chattanooga 83-71 at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Mack went 5-of-9 from behind the arc to help the Tigers improve to 3-and-0. PITTSBURGH (AP) Bengals wide receiver Chad Ocho Cinco is being held out of tonight's game at Pittsburgh for violating team rules. The player formerly known as Chad Johnson has been replaced in the lineup by Glenn Holt. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) Unless she plays better Friday, the second round of the ADT Championship will be Annika Sorenstam's farewell to the LPGA Tour. Sorenstam shot a 2-over 74 today in today's opening round, which is good for a tie for 23rd in the 32-woman event. The field gets trimmed to 16 after Friday's play.
