Callahan leads S. Dakota St. past Cent. ArKansas 72-67

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) Garrett Callahan scored a game-high 21 points in today's 72-67 win over Central Arkansas at the Cancun Challenge.

Callahan was 7-for-10 from the field and made all six of his free throw attempts to help the Jackrabbits improve to 3-4. He also had four steals.

The Bears scored the first seven points of the game only to see the Jackrabbits go on a 13-1 run. SDSU led 31-29 at the half despite shooting just 37 percent.

Kai Williams scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for SDSU.

He had four 3-pointers.

Clint Sargent was 6-for-6 from the line and finished with 15 points.

Marcus Pillow led the Bears in scoring with 15 points.

Chris Brown added 14 points, Mitch Rueter 13 and Brian Marks 10.
