South Dakota girls tournaments moves to semifinalsMar 13 2009 7:35AM
Associated Press SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) The South Dakota girls state Basketball tournaments move into the semifinals Friday with games scheduled at each of the three locations for 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Pierre plays Watertown and then Aberdeen Central meets Brandon Valley at Class AA in Brookings. At the Class A tournament in Watertown, Dell Rapids and Sioux Valley play, followed by Pine Ridge and Newell. And at the Class B tournament in Aberdeen, Avon meets Elkton-Lake Benton and then Harding County plays Summit. Championship games will be Saturday evening. Only Dell Rapids is still unbeaten. Two defending champions were eliminated Thursday when Sioux Falls Washington lost to Aberdeen Central in Class AA and Sully Buttes was defeated by Elkton-Lake Benton in Class B.
